Additional Product Info

These important and fundamental verses in Genesis 12:1-3, clarifies the purpose and calling of Israel and the Jewish people in God's plan. It explains the only reason why Israel and the Jewish people, the physical descendants of Abraham, still exist today and will continue to exist no matter how much the world might try to annihilate them. Later, in Genesis 17:5, 24 years later, God changes Abram's name ("Father [or God] Is Exalted") to Abraham ("Father of many nations"). In these verses, God calls a 75 year-old Abram to leave his homeland (Ur) and go by faith, to the land that God will show him.

In these verses, God makes three promises to Abram:

  1. A Seed ("I will make you a great nation...")
  2. Land ("to the land which I will show you...")
  3. Divine Protection ("I will bless those who bless you and those who curse you, I will curse.")

"And the LORD said to Abram: 'Go out from your land , out of your birth-place and out of your father's house to the land that I will show you. And I will make you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and those who curses you, I will curse, and in you, all the families of the earth will be blessed.'"
- Genesis 12:1-3

How to use?

Hebrew is read from RIGHT-to-left, so you will start from the right and work your way towards the left.
Under each Hebrew word, you will find its transliteration & translation in English. The forward-slash (“/”) separates between syllables and the capitals mark where the accent should be. Pronounce each syllable on its own (left-to-right), then combine the syllables to pronounce the word as a whole.

Make sure you are pronouncing correctly, with my Hebrew Pronunciation Chart.
