Micah 5:2 is one of the many Messianic prophecies in the Hebrew scriptures, predicting the birth of the Messiah Yeshua (Jesus).
According to Micah, God is speaking of a child born in Bethlehem. This child would be the manifestation of someone eternal - God in the flesh!
“And you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, the least among the clans of Judah, from you will come out for me One who is to be a ruler in Israel, whose coming forth is from of old, from days of eternity."
- Micah 5:2 or 5:1 in the Hebrew Bible, ESV/TLV
How to use?
How to use?
Hebrew is read from RIGHT-to-left, so you will start from the right and work your way towards the left.
Under each Hebrew word, you will find its transliteration & translation in English. The forward-slash (“/”) separates between syllables and the capitals mark where the accent should be. Pronounce each syllable on its own (left-to-right), then combine the syllables to pronounce the word as a whole. To make sure you are pronouncing correctly, get my Hebrew Pronunciation Chart.
